1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using nonobie ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Platform. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use the Platform. If you are between 13 and 18, you must have a parent or guardian's consent. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• You may not share your account credentials with others or transfer your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Content & Intellectual Property

All content on nonobie — including but not limited to text, code examples, diagrams (D2), course structure, quizzes, illustrations, and the platform design — is owned by nonobie and protected by Indian and international copyright laws.

You may not:

• Reproduce, redistribute, sell, or sublicense any content from the Platform.
• Create derivative works based on Platform content for commercial purposes.
• Scrape, bulk download, or systematically extract content using automated tools.
• Remove or alter any copyright notices from Platform content.

You retain ownership of any code you write in the Playground or notes you create. We do not claim ownership over your personal work.

5. Purchases & Access

• Free modules are accessible without payment or credit card information.
• Pro modules require a one-time payment of ₹199 (inclusive of GST) per module.
• Upon successful payment, you receive lifetime access to the purchased module.
• Access is granted on a per-account basis and is non-transferable.
• All payments are processed through Razorpay. We do not store your payment card details.

6. Refunds

Refunds are handled according to our Refund Policy. In general, you may request a refund within 7 days of purchase for most situations. Refunds for digital content are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

7. User Conduct

When using the Platform, you agree not to:

• Share your account credentials with others.
• Use the Platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
• Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with security features or access controls.
• Upload malicious code, spam, or harmful content.
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
• Use the AI features (Code Explainer, Chapter Tutor) to generate or distribute harmful, illegal, or unethical content.

8. AI Features

Our AI features (Code Explainer and Chapter Tutor) are powered by Google Gemini Flash. These tools are designed to assist with learning — they explain code, answer questions about chapter content, and help debug issues. They are not a substitute for critical thinking or professional advice. AI responses may occasionally be incorrect or incomplete; always verify important information independently.

9. Third-Party Services

The Platform integrates with third-party services including Supabase (authentication and database), Razorpay (payments), Google Gemini (AI), Resend (emails), and Vercel (hosting). Your use of these services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, nonobie and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform. The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless nonobie and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your violation of these terms or your use of the Platform.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through a notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in [City], India.

14. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform at our discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users, the Platform, or third parties.
